University Park Elementary School is the first new elementary school in the Highland Park ISD since 1948. Stantec is working with a special committee comprised of district employees, members of the PTA, and other community leaders to design a building, which will fit organically into the community and incorporate the surrounding area's architectural elements and history into the design of the school.
The existing University Park Elementary School building has been completely demolished, and the new building will be constructed on the same site. The new school building will be two-stories and approximately 145,195 SF.
Moye Consulting is designing a communications room and fiber/copper communications backbone as well as Premise Distribution System (PDS), Intercom and Overhead Paging, Audio/Visual, and Cable/Satellite TV, Access Control and Monitoring, and Video Surveillance systems.
