Telecom/Special Systems Construction Coordinator – LAX


Moye Consulting, a Dallas/Fort Worth area engineering firm providing innovative technology and
special systems design and consulting services, seeks a bright, capable individual to join our
growing team.

We have a current opportunity for Construction Coordinator in our Los Angeles, CA office. You will
be a part of a team of professionals working on projects across the US. This position will allow you to
grow in your career as a part of a team of talented designers with diverse expertise.

We design network infrastructure, security, A/V, fire and life safety and aviation specialty systems
on exciting, highly-visible large A/E projects across the domestic U.S. and Caribbean. These

      Responsibilities may include:

  • Drafts responses to, and manage the workflow of, RFI’s and Submittals

  • Reviews systems test reports.

  • Participates in QA design reviews.

  • Participate in the development of systems commissioning protocols.

  • Leads systems commissioning teams.

  • Represents the company project team in construction meetings and prepares meeting notes.

  • Tracks and responds to contractor RFI’s and submittals.

  • Conducts and documents punchlist walkthroughs.

  • Participate in the design and documentation of communications infrastructure, security, a/v and fire
    alarm systems. Training is available for gaps in knowledge.

    An ideal candidate:

  • Has broad special systems experience and a strong foundation in TDMM and best practices for
    network infrastructure.

  • Has experience on aviation or healthcare industry or large scale (500,000sf+) projects.

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Is organized, thorough and responsible.

  • Is familiar with engineering/document management software, including Nuforma and Project wise

  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

  • Has the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical people.

  • Has the ability to solve problems and work independently.

  • Has project management training or experience.

  • Is available for travel.

  • Is able to share knowledge with others and seeks out knowledge that can be gained from others.

  • Has technical writing, public speaking, project management or contract management experience.


  • Has minimum 5 years experience in A/E design of low voltage systems OR as a lead technician.

  • Conducts and documents site survey for existing conditions.

  • Coordinates work with in-house project managers and designers.

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Can read and accurately interpret systems test reports.

  • Is capable of successfully completing federal background check for security clearance.

This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. Target hourly rate range is $20-40, or $41,600 - $83,200 depending on credentials
and experience. Relocation assistance is available.
