Technology Consultant, RCDD – LAX
Dallas/Fort Worth area engineering firm providing innovative technology and special systems design
and consulting services seeks intermediate to senior level Registered Communications Distribution
Designer (RCDD) to join our growing Los Angeles office for work on large SoCal capital projects.
You will become an integral part of our team, and will work alongside other capable, low voltage

Responsibilities:

Review and develop project scopes of work

Conduct and document stakeholder meetings to gather and record data

Manage project schedules to ensure critical milestones are maintained and met

Manage project budgets to profitable completion using our project accounting and timekeeping

software

Work with other groups/disciplines to ensure project scope, schedule and phasing are clearly
understood, coordinated and incorporated into design and implementation of projects

Develop basis of design reports, floor plans, enlarged plan and detail drawings, riser diagrams
and equipment schedules

Develop detailed design of network physical infrastructure and other low voltage systems
-
Prepare project specifications

Draft white papers where necessary to support client decision making

Coordinate closely with firm’s Design Manager, Revit, AutoCAD and site survey staff

Perform site survey and documentation where necessary, and train others to conduct these
activities

Manage in-house project design activities
-
Attend and document design team and client meetings.
Job Requirements:
-
IT infrastructure design experience is required. A/E design experienced is preferred
-
Current BICSI RCDD certification is required
-
Project Management experience and credentials (BICSI RTPM or PMI PMP) desired
-
Experience in large government or aviation projects is desired
-
Additional expertise in the design of other low voltage systems (security, audio visual, life safety)
is desired

Is capable of successfully completing federal background check for security clearance.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an
accredited college or university; 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design may be
substituted for degree.
This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. Annual wages $70,000 – $140,000
commensurate with experience. Comprehensive firm benefit package: package details are made
