Engineering firm providing innovative Information and Communication Technology (ICT) design and consulting services seeks a Technology Engineer/Consultant in the Atlanta area. Responsibilities may include:
-
Review and develop project scopes of work.
-
Conduct and document stakeholder meetings to gather and record data.
-
Manage project schedules to ensure critical milestones are maintained and met.
-
Manage project budgets to profitable completion using our project accounting and timekeeping software.

Work with other groups/disciplines to ensure project scope, schedule and phasing are clearly understood, coordinated, and incorporated into design and implementation of projects.

Develop basis of design reports, floor plans, enlarged plan and detail drawings, riser diagrams and equipment schedules.

Develop detailed design of network physical infrastructure, physical security, and other low voltage systems.

Prepare project specifications.

Draft white papers where necessary to support client decision making.

Coordinate closely with firm’s Design Manager, Revit, and site survey staff.

Perform site survey and documentation where necessary to augment survey staff.

Manage in-house project design activities.
-
Attend and document design team and client meetings.
An ideal candidate:

Has experience on aviation or healthcare industry or large scale (500,000sf+) projects.

Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Is organized, thorough and responsible.

Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Has the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical people.

Has the ability to solve problems and work independently.

Is available for travel.

Has ability to manage up and down as necessary to coordinate design with clients and other professional staff both internally and externally.

Is an articulate communicator, with sound judgment, strong collaboration and teamwork skills and a proven ability to manage concurrent projects.

Has strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to author reports, memos, letters, meeting minutes, white papers, and other project management related documents required.

Has ability to manage client and stakeholder expectations concurrent with project profitability.
Prerequisites:
-
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.

Must hold at least one of these credentials:
-
Licensed professional engineer (PE) with a BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering,
-
Credentialed communications infrastructure design consultant Registered Communications Distribution Designer® (RCDD®)
-
Credentialed security consultant with ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification,
-
Credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP)® through Project Management Institute.

Has a minimum 10 years’ experience in working in the architecture/engineering (A/E) industry on electrical and/or low voltage systems engineering design.

Possesses strong technical knowledge and experience in TDMM, NEC and other AHJ criteria application.

Is proficient in Microsoft 365.
-
Is proficient in Bluebeam.
-
Is familiar with and has minimum navigational proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Is capable of successfully completing federal background check for security clearance.

This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. This position is estimated at 40+ hours/week and has potential for paid overtime and bonuses.
