Special Systems Project Manager (PgMP, PMP, RCDD) Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

This is a long-term staffed position representing an aviation municipal client managing technology systems projects.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Review and develop project scopes of work.

  • Conduct and document stakeholder and project team meetings.

  • Manage project schedules to ensure critical milestones are maintained and met.

  • Manage project budgets to completion using our project accounting and timekeeping software.

  • Work with other groups/disciplines to ensure project scope, schedule and phasing are clearly understood, coordinated, and incorporated into design and implementation of projects.

  • Exercise judgement using technical expertise regarding design & construction decisions.

  • Perform site systems construction/installation inspection and documentation.

  • Maintain project documentation and status in Sciforma project management software. 

 

An ideal candidate:

  • IT Infrastructure or Special Systems experience is required. Possess strong technical knowledge and experience in TDMM, NEC and other AHJ criteria application.

  • Ability to manage up and down as necessary to coordinate design with clients and other professional staff both internally and externally.

  • Articulate communicator, with sound judgment, strong collaboration and teamwork skills and a proven ability to manage concurrent projects.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project (or similar) applications.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to author reports, memos, letters, meeting minutes, white papers, and other project management related documents required.

  • Ability to manage client, design team and stakeholder expectations concurrent with project success.

  • Project Management credentials (BICSI RTPM or PMI PMP or PgMP) desired.

  • Experience in large government or aviation projects is desired.

  • Experience with parking revenue systems, parking guidance systems, video surveillance or facilities systems is desired

 

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.

  • Relevant professional certifications: PMI’s Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP), and BICSI’s Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM).

  • Selected applicant will undergo fingerprinting and federal background screening for security clearance.

  • Security clearance is required for this position. 

 

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Background check and drug test may be required.

 

This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. This position is estimated at 40+ hours/week and has potential for paid overtime and bonuses. Relocation assistance is available. Candidate will also need to be vetted by agency leadership.

Pay: $42.00 - $62.00 per hour
