COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Cookie Box Creations teams girls with women architects and engineers in design contests to turn empty Girl Scout cookie boxes into free-standing structures. This activity is great for girls interested in a career in architecture or engineering, helping them to develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for cooperation and team-building. Moye Consulting recently participated with a team of engaging young women who represented Girl Scout troops from Irving and Grand Prairie. Jan Moye, Troy Frain and George Marguez introduced the girls to 3D design tools such as Revit during a series of work sessions. The Moye/scout team created four fully functional pop-up books, each representing a different country; the books were on display at Dallas’ Galleria Mall in February. By supporting outreach programs such as these, Moye Consulting seeks to improve the academic performance and self-esteem of young woman in our community.
