Relocation of UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Police Department Dispatch Center—Dallas, TX

UT Southwestern relocated its existing Police Department Dispatch facility as part of an overall building renovation project. Moye Consulting led the design for the new security system, as well as reconfiguration of the existing systems impacted by the move. The firm was responsible for the development of construction drawings and specifications for alterations to the former dispatch space. The abandoned IT Infrastructure was demolished, and the existing active components were reconfigured within the space. Moye Consulting conducted stakeholder interviews and documented basis-of-design assumptions related to technology systems, including design criteria documents, expansion of existing systems vs. new, warranty programs, and related support requirements. Work included a site survey to document existing conditions and coordination with other disciplines.
