Dallas Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP)—Dallas, TX

Moye Consulting led the technology and security design effort for services for the 750,00-SF terminal renovation and concourse addition at Dallas Love Field. New construction included 20 new gates, a new concourse, and ticketing wing with renovated lobby, security checkpoint, and new baggage claim area. The project was completed in six phases to keep the terminal operational during construction. Systems included premise wiring distribution; voice and data network; cellar DAS; access control and monitoring; video surveillance; content management/EVIDS; MATV; UHF/VHF radio; intercom; and duress alarm. Moye Consulting completed existing conditions survey, stakeholder interviews, phasing and enabling projects, detailed design, construction documents, and construction support services. The project was completed in BIM.

Moye Consulting designed the relocation and/or replacement of the Airport’s main distribution frame (MDF) housing security system’s head-ends and the center-point for much of the terminal’s fiber plant. The Moye security and special system team upgraded the video surveillance system to high-definition (HD) and replacing the EVIDSs, including FID/BIDS/GIDS, to a modern, cost-effective content management system. The high-definition system was one of the first 100% HD video installation at a U.S. airport. The project was comprised of more than 18 design packages.

The project was executed jointly by the City of Dallas as owner with significant participation by Southwest Airlines and Hensel Phelps as CM at Risk. There were multiple tenant relocations into interim facilities. Building, apron, and roadway work was completed concurrently. The project was completed on time and under budget.
