Irving Convention Center—Irving, TX
The 275,000-SF facility features a 50,000-SF column-free exhibition hall, a 20,000 SF ballroom, a 20,000 SF breakout space, and 20 meeting rooms. Ideally situated on 40-acres, the venue is the first phase of a mixed-use entertainment district and will attract many conventions and meetings to the area. The facility’s highly flexible, stacked design allows it to host several different types of events concurrently, and the building’s unique architecture, vertical design, and interior finish create a new niche in the marketplace. Moye Consulting provided construction-phase services to redesign the Center’s data network to be compliant with BICSI/TIA standards and properly integrate IP video surveillance, access control, audio/visual and digital signage systems, and provided construction administration and systems commissioning services.
