Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Fire Station #6—Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

This new 20,212-SF fire station is located on the north side of the airport and was designed to serve office and light industrial buildings within the International Commerce Park. Moye Consulting led the technology systems design and construction administration services for the facility, which houses eight individual bunks and includes kitchen/dining, day room, fitness, office, classroom and storage areas. The fire station also has three drive-through bays to accommodate the facility’s emergency response vehicles. Sustainable energy features include high-efficiency HVAC and thermal envelope, exterior shades and light-colored roofing with deep overhangs. This fire station achieved LEED Gold certification. Moye Consulting led the technology systems design, which included structured cabling, Wi-Fi, MATV, video surveillance, access control and proprietary alerting/facility controls systems.
