Garland Independent School District (ISD) Safety and Security Assessment—Garland, TX

Garland Independent School District (GISD) is located in the northeast corner of Dallas County. It has 77 operating locations in three cities, Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse. Overall it has a student population that exceeds 58,000 students, 71 campuses, and 6,000 employees, of which over 3,800 are teachers. GISD ranks as the second-largest district in Dallas County, twelfth largest in Texas, and among the 100 largest in America. Moye Consulting performed an extensive security and life safety assessment for the district’s 2 prekindergarten, 47 elementary schools, 12 middle schools,  8 high schools, 3 education centers, 2 stadiums, and 11 support facilities. Services included a physical survey on a variety of items, a written report with graphics and diagrams documenting the findings, and recommendations to correct or address any deficiencies.
