BIM Technician – Dallas/Fort Worth

Dallas/Fort Worth area engineering firm providing innovative technology and special systems design and consulting services seeks a bright, capable individual to join our growing team.

We have a current opportunity for one or more Revit Technicians in our Irving, Texas office. You will be a part of a team of professionals pursuing and working on projects across the US. This position will allow you to grow in your career as a part of a team of talented designers with diverse expertise in IT, security, audio visual and fire and life safety systems.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing difficult and complex working drawings of fiber optic, copper and wireless networks, physical security, fire and life safety and proprietary low voltage systems.

  • Utilizes 2017 Revit to prepare engineering drawings consisting of standard floor plans, enlarged plans, riser diagrams, installation details, rack elevations, etc.

  • Works closely with production team members and project managers to QA design drawings assure technical excellence.

An ideal candidate:

  • Has experience on aviation or healthcare industry or large scale (500,000sf+) projects.

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Is organized, thorough and responsible.

  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

  • Has the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical people.

  • Has the ability to solve problems and work independently.

  • Has conversant knowledge of BICSI, NEC, national codes, standards and regulations.

  • Is able to share knowledge with others and seeks out knowledge that can be gained from others.

  • Has technical writing, public speaking, project management or contract management experience.


  • Has 2 year technical degree or certificate from an accredited drafter/designer course, preferred.

  • Has a minimum 3 years experience in A/E electrical and/or low voltage systems design projects.

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit v2017 or later (preferred).

  • Is capable of successfully completing federal background check for security clearance.

This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. Negotiable hourly salary, based on experience.
