Network Administrator, IT Infrastructure – Dallas/Fort Worth

Moye Consulting, a Dallas/Fort Worth area engineering firm providing innovative technology and
special systems design and consulting services, seeks a bright, capable self-starter to join our
growing team.

We have a current opportunity for Network Administrator in our Irving, Texas office. This is a hybrid
position that will allow you to grow your skills in systems engineering while working as a network
administrator. You will be a part of a team of professionals working on projects across the US.

We design network infrastructure, security, A/V, fire and life safety and aviation specialty systems
on exciting, highly-visible large A/E projects across the domestic U.S. and Caribbean. These

Administrative Responsibilities may include:

  • Updates and maintains software and hardware inventories.

  • Maintains onsite and remote offices’ equipment, architecture diagrams and other records.

  • Manages systems backups and archives.

  • Monitors and reports on systems performance.

  • Supports day-to-day service requests for user support and equipment troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Configures and deploys new equipment.

  • Writes proposals for upgrade projects and manages those projects that are authorized.

  • Provides input and cost estimating support to budgeting.

  • Coordinates with systems vendors and consultants.


Project Responsibilities may include:

  • Tracks, drafts responses to, and manage the workflow of contractor RFI’s and Submittals.

  • Reviews systems test reports.

  • Conducts and documents site survey for existing conditions.

  • Coordinates work with in-house project managers and designers.

  • Participates in QA design reviews.

  • Participate in the development of systems commissioning protocols.

  • Leads systems commissioning teams.

  • Represents the company project team in construction meetings and prepares meeting notes.

  • Conducts and documents punchlist walkthroughs.

  • Participate in the design and documentation of communications infrastructure, security, a/v and fire

       alarm systems. Training is available for gaps in knowledge.

An ideal candidate:

  • Holds one or more of the following credentials: 

    • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE


    • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, Cloud+

  • Has experience administering MS Azure, Sharepoint or Teams environment.

  • Has experience supporting AutoDesk Revit users and services.

  • Has experience working in AutoDesk AutoCAD or Revit.

  • Has broad special systems experience a strong foundation in TDMM and best practices for network


  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Is organized, thorough and responsible.

  • Is familiar with engineering/document management software, including Nuforma and Project wise.

  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

  • Has the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical people.

  • Has the ability to solve problems and work independently.

  • Has project management training or experience.

  • Is available for travel.

  • Is able to share knowledge with others and seeks out knowledge that can be gained from others.

  • Has technical writing, public speaking, project management or contract management experience.


  • Has minimum 3 years’ experience administering small office LAN environments. OR minimum 2

       years’ experience in A/E design of low voltage systems OR as a lead cabling technician.

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Can write in fluent English on both business and technical topics, including developing document

       outlines and synopses.

  • Is capable of successfully completing federal background check for security clearance.

This is a direct hire opportunity for permanent employment. All positions are hourly; this position is
estimated at 40+ hours/week and has potential for paid overtime and bonuses. Target hourly rate
range is $20-35 depending on credentials and experience. Relocation assistance is available.
