Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Terminal Expansion and Renovation —Austin, TX

This $350 million project includes an expanded concourse to accommodate additional aircraft parking spaces for both domestic and international operations. The 192,525-SF of addition and upgrades include 10 new gates, ticketing lobby renovations, baggage infrastructure, security improvements, ancillary passenger facilities, and concourse circulation. To maintain existing operations during construction, a new temporary passenger walkway was constructed. System improvements include the addition of new IT communications rooms to support IT and security services for the expanded terminal. Implementation of new common/shared use network equipment will provide flexibility for airline gate assignments. IT systems included are new MuFIDS, new cellular DAS, public Wi-Fi system, paging system, airport television system, and security network infrastructure.
