Alvin C. York Medical Center Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Design and engineering on the Alvin C. York Veteran Medical Center campus began in 2018.  We have provided technology designs services for several project including the Whole Health Clinic Renovation, Ward 1B Renovation, Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Services Renovation, and the Integrated Health Center which included a new Educational Simulation Lab.

On the 18,000 square foot Ward 1B project, Technology design services were provided to renovate the facility to meet VA standards.  Telecommunication design incorporated a multi-floor low voltage infrastructure rerouting to address new technology requirements.  Technology focused meetings with telecommunications, biomed, A/V, telehealth, and facilities maintenance/operations team helped ensure current and future infrastructure requirements were incorporated into overall design.  Security meetings were held to address facility specific expectations and to upgrade the system to meet the VA Physical and Information Security Design Guides.  The Physical Access Control System (PACS) card readers are provided at entry points, medication rooms, communication rooms, and all IDFs.  The CCTV security cameras are an extension of the existing system and provided in corridors and waiting areas.
